First begin by listening to the group with the mugs... followed by a trip down the stair case a good place to save is beside the stairs. No need to smash barrels yet, just waltz back to the cave and kill the rat. You can't escape the fire so once your hit make a quick exit up the stairs(your losing energy)and get a quick shower and a broadsword. Back to the Fire Rat, but on your way you'll meet the old man who gives you the Thunder Spider. Follow the tutorial or don't but be certain you have the spider out when you face the Fire Rat and let it do the dirty work. Return to the first floor for your reward, and maybe stop to loot the chest next to the bed.
Unless you want the bard to sleep alone give the widow a rough time. Either way the old man will be waiting outside to give you the charm of Cailegh and tells you about the Forest Trowl(He has the Heroine). Don't forget to meet man's best friend after that and be nice to the dog. Other side quest in Houston include the Bug Bear(sword upgrade), the Barrel Man(extra income), the Mother of the Chosen One(Rabbits Foot), Free the Prisoner catch the Thief and if you didn't get lucky with the widow the Angry Boyfriend.
God mode:
Hold L1 + R1 and press Right, Left, Right, Left, Up, Down, Up, Down
during game play.
Immune to attacks:
Hold L1 + R1 and press Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Down, Up, Down
during game play.
Full health and mana:
Hold L1 + R1 and press Left(2), Right(2), Up, Down, Up, Down during
game play.

during game play.
